Applications of BBa_K2027039
The primary use of this construct is to impart a latex (cis 1,4 polyisoprene) production pathway into a target organism. This construct enables the polymerization of isopentenyl pyrophosphate into polyisoprene. Note that in systems with low IPP, this construct can be transformed with BBa_K2027040 in E. coli to enhance output.
